[GENIUS] Plowz - On Demand Snow Blow

 

The East coast was hit with a pretty nasty snowstorm over the weekend, which we're still feeling the aftereffects of. I personally had to call out for a snowday on Friday because of the insane snow we had in my town. I'd say I was awake at 8am shoveling close to 7, maybe 8 inches of snow. I have a pretty big driveway and the front of my house has a sidewalk all along the front and side so I had to clean that off so no one would slip and sue my ass for everything I'm worth (not a lot).

Anyway, so there's this genius app/business called PLOWZ that basically allows you to request a plow and/or a team of shovelers to come to your location (via GPS) and shovel your place for you. They will come by, clean up, and send you a photo to confirm that your property is snow-free. Isn't that amazing!?

I mean, I'm sorry I wasn't able to find this and share it before the storm this weekend but it's good to know that things like this exist right? So next time there's a snowstorm and you're feeling really lazy, sit back and call the PLOWZ team to do the heavy lifting for you. I think this is great for elderly homeowners. Fortunately, my dad is still young enough to get out there in the morning to shovel the snow with me but eventually, I'd like to just use this app and schedule a plowing (that's what she said) for the morning after the storm even before my parents wake up so they don't go out there and break their backs. This seems like an unnecessary luxury for younger folks like ourselves but I believe this will be great for us to use for our parents in the coming years.
